Buchanan Scare
Phony SWAT team Detains Parents!
By Amy William, Assoc. Editor
CLOVIS -- Buchanan
High parents Mr. and Mrs. Brian Twedt were on campus early Monday
morning when they got the shock of their lives. Out of the shadows
emerged tree figures dressed from head to foot in black clothing,
wearing masks, and blocking the entrance.
Clovis Police Department spokesman, Sgt. Vince Leonardo told reporters the Twedts were walking across the campus, as they heard voices yelling at them. The voices identified themselves as members of the Clovis Police SWAT team. The Twedts were pushed down.
At that point, Brian Twedt identified himself as a police officer and took the masked intruders into custody.
The identities have not been disclosed
to reporters, but it was learned from reliable sources that three
Buchanan High School students were taken into custody when Clovis
police arrived at the school around 4:00 A.M. Tuesday.
It is Clovis Police Department procedure to transport juvenile's to Fresno County Juvenile Hall when taken into custody.
